Why Social Media Must Have a Place in Schools: A Tech Talk

While most young people regularly consume and produce social media content, many schools focus on what students should not do with these technologies rather than address what students and teachers can do.

Dr. Dan Krutka, Associate Professor of Curriculum & Instruction, shares ways that some educators leverage social media to enhance the who, when, where, why, how, and what of educational processes.

Tech Talks are free and no reservations are required.

What’s a Tech Talk?

It’s a twenty minute presentation on technology. Covering anything from software releases to social media to technology & society - Tech Talks are an opportunity to learn more about technology. The Office of Technology sponsors these talks as a learning opportunity for the TWU community.
